Round 2

Ok, so am I the only person who feels award knitting in public? I always get weird looks from people because of how young I am. For some reason, in my town, knitting is still viewed as something that the "old" folks are into. I mean, it can get bad. I have older ladies dogging me and telling their husbands "Hell I could do that. Why is she doing that? She's too young!" etc etc while I'm knitting in the waiting room for Andy's appointment. Ugh. It just drives me nuts. Age doesn't matter. Sure, I'm only 22, but I really enjoy knitting and I wouldn't want to give it up. It just makes me mad that people are so naive here to not notice that knitting has filtered into a younger age group as well. EMBRACE THE FACT, DAMN IT! Anyways, I'm just knitting up a quick little mint green scarf to keep myself occupied. I'll post a picture of the yarn tomorrow, but you can see part of the scarf in my user picture. I can't for the life of me remember what brand it is because when I roll my yarn into balls, I put the labels in the middle of the balls so I never lose them. Especially handy when dealing with gifts so they can have the washing information and all that good stuff. But it's really cute and it was on clearance for 64 cents a skein. How could I pass that up?!

On a different note, I think I've finally figured out what I want to do with my life. I'm thinking about going back to school and getting a business degree and starting up my own LYS. Since there's none here. So I'm already trying to plan out what I want to happen and such.
I already know that I want to better my knitting skills before I even start to delve into anything so that way I'll actually be an owner who knows what I'm talking about and all that jazz. But I'm planning on having over-night knitting sessions and things like that. Just fun out of the ordinary stuff that most people probably wouldn't think about. I think it'd be a lot of fun. And my friend Jenn said that she would love to have part in it even though she's not overly great at knitting herself. But she's said that she thinks it would be a great thing if Modesto were to finally get its own LYS. Just want to learn how to spin so I can make my own yarn so there will be more original pieces for people to purchase. Fun stuff!

Anyways, I'm off for the night. Huzzah!
